Trip to OKC

Sorry, I have been out of the BLOG world for a good while. Here is a weekend recap from last weekend.

I went with my family to Oklahoma City to watch the Woman's Softball College World Series and to watch my sister play ball! It was so much fun. We got to see some awesome games and ate my favorite; CHEESECAKE Factory! It was delicious! I have never had anything there that I did not care for! We also hit the mall a couple times! I got some cute new things for school. An outfit for Open House and the first day! Here are some photos from my trip to OKC.

We are HUGE Tennessee fans! My sister Kate's dream is to play softball for the Lady Vol's! We were all in "awe" at the game. The first game we got to watch was UCLA and Hawaii. UCLA won that game and actually went on to win the series. It was Hawaii's first trip to the WCWS!

Dad, Kate, and I at the game. Mom took the picture for us :)

Kate and Coach Weekly. The Head Coach for the TN Lady Vol's!

Kate at her tournment. She did a fantastic job pitching! So proud of her!

My Bundle of JOY!

Last night we got to babysit my favorite girl, Miss. Addison! It is always a family affair when she comes to stay. My 22 year old brother even stays home when she comes to visit! (holy cow!) My Mama made a delicious supper and we all ate together. I got to help feed Addison. She had chicken, hominy, new potatoes, and pinto beans! She also had a banana for dessert! We played outside with my parents dog, went on a 4-wheeler ride, jumped on my parents bed, sang songs, watched tv, and even took a cat nap!

Here are a few photos we snapped of her out in the yard!!

Such a doll!!

She was pointing at Lilly the dog and saying d-o-g!

She LOVES Josh! She cried for him while I was changing her diaper! :)

Our First Anniversary

It is so hard to believe that Josh and I celebrated our very first anniversary this past Sunday; May 30th. This has been the fastest and most happiest year for the both of us! Full of lots of memories as well as trumps and triumphs! It has been a very special year and we cannot wait to celebrate at least 70 more! Here are a few highlights from our first year of marriage!

May 30th, 2009: The happiest day of our entire lives! We could not have asked for things to be went and been more perfect! We thank our families and friends for making this day so perfect!

We began June by celebrating our marriage in Negril, Jamaica! It was our HONEYMOON!

Also in June we celebrated many many many weddings! I recall attending three in the month of June!

We kicked July off with celebrating the 4th with the Thompson's at Rockbridge. One of our favorite places.

We also celebrated my birthday on July 29th!
August was full of LOTS of yard work and ballgames. We only attended one wedding this month.

September we had our very first "married" pictures taken by Lindsey Thompson! It was so much fun!

October was also full of weddings! The first weekend of October we celebrated my good friend Sherra's wedding.

The end of the month Josh and I helped Mallory and Kody celebrate their BIG day!

October also marked our very first Halloween! We carved our monogram in our pumpkin!

November
was our nephew; Drake's First Birthday! We had a fun time!

We also celebrated our first Thanksgiving with both of our families!

December was full of lots of FUN! We began the month with Josh's 29th Birthday!

We set up our very first Christmas tree and decorated our home for the holidays!

Our very first Christmas

January: We rang in the New Year at Rockbridge with the Thompsons

February 14th we celebrated our first Valentines Day
March was full of basketball games and rooting on the Viola Longhorns! We also began attending the First United Methodist Church in West Plains.

April
we hosted our very first Easter dinner as well as attending a great church service.

May was full of lots of things! We began by celebrating Kate's first prom and then my graduation. It was a very joyous month!

We spent our First Anniversary rooting on Kate at her State Track Meet. She did a great job and won 3rd in her race! We had dinner with a group of track parents and we even shared our Sharon Fox Anniversary cake. How generous are we? ha! After her race in Jefferson City we went to Springfield and attended our first Springfield Cardinal game. It was so much fun and something we will definitely do again soon! Our First Anniversary was great and I cannot wait to spend many many more with Josh!
